Bump Day. 37 Weeks (and one day...again) down. Full term baby!

Me and the bump out picking some Holly in the back garden, ready to decorate the fireplace. Today the hospital bag has also been packed and the nursery is coming along nicely. Now I'm laying out the picture wall, trying to decide where to put what and loving re-discovering all the thrifty finds we've gathered over the last few months.

And last night, in opposition to all my other instincts, I had a dream that we had a girl. It could be any time now that we find out if it's been a girl or boy nestling in my belly. The best surprise in the world.

ps. Blogger seems to have been having a funny five minutes this week and I've had a few emails saying you've left comments and they're not appearing. I've reported the problem but let me know if it happens again, and thank you as always for your lovely comments xx

  1. The xcitement is building! I so well remember the vivid dreams of a girl or a boy... I was right one time out of three... Best wishes for these last few weeks. You will miss your bump a little bit, I think! x

  2. I was convinced I was having a boy until my doctor once said "elle". After that of course, I was convinced it was a girl. Then a boy again. I was crazy excited to found out the truth! And in the end when our baby was born, we were so high on cloud nine that we spent the first few minutes cuddling our newborn baby and totally forgot to check to see what it was! We were just happy that our bubba - boy or girl - made it safe into our arms. When we did find out, it was, like you say, the best surprise in the world. You have such a lovely journey ahead of you Nell.
    xx
ps: and you are looking bumpalicious!

  4. You so rock the bump! I have loved your bump series, and I am so excited to hear the news now! I am predicting girl. When I had Maisie, people had convinced me that I was having a boy so much during pregnancy, that when she came out and I checked, I still thought she was a boy! That’s what 36 hours of labour does to you! xx

  5. ooooh this is fun watching the last few weeks unfold for you!...it's such a special time...i too was convinced i was having a boy (as everyone else seemed to be adamant it was!), so was super surprised and utterly delighted to discover our baby was a girl...
i'm a believer in the power of dreams so my money's on a girl. x

  6. I dreamed three times Olive was a girl - and no times a boy, so perhaps a girl it is! Even though for some reason I think it's a boy. It'll be divine either way! And yay for making it to 37 weeks. NOT LONG NOW! Kellie xx

  8. you look so ready. and beautiful.

my dear friend has two little boys and recently gave birth and when the baby came out her husband said, "it's a boy." the nurse looked at him very confused and said, "no it's not." totally a girl. so funny.
